Acupuncture is a Chinese medicine that has been practiced for over 5000 years. Simply, acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body's surface in order to control function of the body. It is based on the theory that energy known as Qi (pronounced chee) flows along channels, or pathways throughout the body. Because Qi controls one's emotional, physical and mental aspects of life, when it is hindered or unbalanced, one's health may be affected.

Qi consists of two portions, yin and yang. These are opposite forces but work mutually when balanced. It must be remembered that yin and yang are complementary and not contradictory. Nor is one regarded as "good" and the other "bad". Rather a harmony is sought between them. If these are thrown out of equilibrium discomfort and disease occur. Acupuncture works by restoring this balance.

We start by lying on the table, next warm towel is applied to the face to soften and warm the muscles. A gentle massage is given to the neck and face using gua sha stones and manual release. Facial reflexology points/zones are then stimulated using circular movements. Finally, using light pumping techniques, the lymphatics are worked to help with head and neck drainage. Scalp and ear massage is also included. This treatment is meant to be truly relaxing and restorative!

Stacy grew up here in Mora. As a young adult she worked first as a CPA in public practice and then as the corporate controller/finance officer of a manufacturing company. In 2005, a traumatic brain injury changed her life. While at the time this seemed a tragedy; she feels this experience was a wonderful, transformative gift. As her recovery progressed, she enjoyed working as a caregiver for disabled persons and sharing her passion for horses. Running a small boarding farm, giving lessons, and doing barefoot hoof trimming. Eventually, she found what felt like her life purpose - serving as a CranioSacral therapist and homeopath. She earned her Upledger CranioSacral Certification in 2015. And graduated in 2019 from the four-year training program in classical homeopathy at Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy. She offers both services to people of all ages, (newborns to hospice), and animals as well. Stacy feels we can all live a more authentic life.
